Meet the technician
behind every repair.
No call center. No dispatcher. No "we'll send someone out." When you call RP Appliance, you talk to Rodney — the same person who's going to be in your kitchen later that day.
Rodney's story
I've been doing appliance repair for over 13 years. The first 10 of those were at PC Richard & Sons as a service technician — that's where I learned the trade properly, working on every brand and model that came through the door.
In 2019 I went out on my own and started RP Appliance Tech Services. The reason was simple: I wanted to give people on Long Island the kind of repair experience I'd want for my own family. One technician on the job, one phone number to call, one straight answer about what's wrong and what it'll cost.
I do the diagnostics, I do the repair, I clean up after myself, and I stand behind the work. If I can't fix it, I'll tell you straight — and if it makes more sense to replace the appliance than repair it, I'll tell you that too. No upsell, no hourly meter running, no surprise add-ons after I'm in the house.
A different kind of repair call.
On time, every time
If I say I'll be there at 10, I'll be there at 10. If something changes, I'll call you — not the other way around.
Up-front pricing
You get the price before I start the work. No mystery line items, no "while I was in there" charges.
Direct line to the tech
When you call, you get me. Same when you text. No phone tree, no scheduling reps.
Pet-friendly
Your dog or cat doesn't need to be locked in another room. I'm comfortable with pets and they're usually comfortable with me.
Repairs guaranteed
If the same problem comes back within the warranty window, I come back at no charge. Period.
Honest about replace vs repair
If the repair costs more than half what a new appliance does, I'll tell you. Your money, your call.
A long time spent doing this.
